Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 264

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 264
- Clean And Simple -

Here's my card for the design team.

I have to admit that I've never heard of Sugar Pea Designs but
I'm totally lovin' their product! Their stamp sets are nice quality and
so dang cute! Anyway...for this CAS challenge I only stamped the
corner of my card front, with the sentiment along side.
I cut out a mask for my sweet little girl and then sponged some
color around her. She was then colored using Copic markers.
I took a white pen and added some much needed freckles.
I wanted to add some embellishments but I desided to
keep her VERY simple and flat for reasomable mailing.
:-)
(sorry for the shadow I cast when taking photo. lol)

A Couple of Cards...

I don't think I've posted these before but...
if I did...Oh, Well!  hehe

A card I sent to Gerri...

A card I sent to my sister, Sam..

DeeDee's Digis DT Call...

Yep...trying out for yet another Design Team. This
time for Deedee's Digis.  Being a part of design
teams seem to give me an opportunity (or excuse)
to always be stamping. hehe. It is therapeutic. At
least that's my story and I'm sticking to it. :)
Anyway, this is the creation I made using one
of DeeDee's Digis. This little Bulldog is so cute!

I colored him using my Copic markers. I added
some crystal lacquer on his little tongue and
eyes. I did some multiple layers and added twine
and a couple of metal leaf charms. Simple,
but I think it looks pretty cute.
Can't mess up this little doggie!!

I'm adding this card in the following challenge:

Unity Stamp Company "BE INSPIRED" Challenge 9/15 - 10/19

Every 3rd Tuesday of the month Unity Stamp Co.
has a new challenge and will choose a winner
from the previous month.
This challenge is inspired by:

I chose the colors and the lower sketch as
my inspiration for my card

For this card I used stamp set

Unity Stamp Co. offers wonderful
stamps of great quality!

For my card I made several layers. I stamped my image, masked it and sponged some
color around the image. I then colored it using
my Copic markers. I rounded the corners and edged
it using my gold leafing pen.
I stamped the sentiment, rounded
the corners, edged in the gold and popped
it up using mounting tape. I glued on a few sequins
for a bit of bling and took a gold sparkle gel pen
and dotted a halo for Baby Jesus.

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

No, I'm not really thinking about Christmas...yet...but, I really liked the poinsettia die cuts and the negative worked nicely. I sponged a red ink, thus creating my background. I attached the background to a dark green layer. I embossed the bottom part of the cardfront. Then I found a velvet ribbon that said Merry Christmas and attached it, separating the green and white portion of the card. I stamped a poinsettia and colored it using Copic markers, adding a few yellow gems to all the flower centers. That added a nice contrasting color. I mounted up the large poinsettia and done. Thanks for checking it out!

This was super easy to make but still packs a
pleasing punch. I stamped 3 trees and paper
pieced each of them using different pattern
papers. Paper piecing is a great way to use up
all of our scraps. :-)  I created 2 panels out
of pattern paper and began to make my
layers. I glued the 2 outside trees down flat
and used mounting tape to raise the 3rd tree.
I stamped my sentiment right on the pattern
paper and that completed my card.

Here's my card for DAY 3

For this card I stamped my church image on a white
panel and used chalks and Copic markers to color.

For the church windows I used a variety of
glitter gel pens to make the windows look
like stained glass. Using a gold leafing pen I
edged the panel. I stamped my sentiment on
the white piece and used an embossing folder
to give it texture.  I took the coral colored
piece and embossed it with a leaf
embossing folder. I put my layers together
and added some gems under the sentiment.
I popped up the main image for dimension.
DONE!

Here's my card for DAY 1

For this FALL card I took a piece of white cardstock and stamped my leaf image. I then stamped another leaf to create my mask. I put the masked image over my main image and took my crackle stamp and stamped my background. I sponged some of the same color used for my crackle along the edges and in various spots over the background. I sponged the blue/gray sky and tree adding additional color to the moon and pumpkin using Copic markers and a glitter pen for the moon. You know, a bit a sparkle is always nice, no matter how little. lol  I stamped my sentiment in black then I took some twine and added some leaf charms and began my layering to complete the card. Easy Peasy!

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I took my banner die cut and cut out 3. I cut each flag from the connecting piece of the die. I then layered one flag on top of the other, giving me a longer flag. I attached a ribbon to give the flag a "hanger". I added some washi tape to the top and bottom and some coordinating pearls then stamped my sentiment in a dark gray ink. Black was just...to black. lol

I used MFP stamp set "Great Flowers".

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 262

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 262
- for a child -

Here's my card for the design team.

I want to thank S 'n S for sponsoring this challenge. I had fun making this card. I took the ice cream cone digi and printed it out 5x, at different sizes. Then I colored them, with Copics, and cut them out. I used green and blue cardstock to create my scene of grass and sky. I added a couple of die cut clouds. The digi sentiment helped me make my sign. Then  I used a piece of brown cardstock, run through a wood embossing folder for the post. I edged the sign with a Copic marker and raised it using mounting tape. Waxy flax was used for my strings for my cone balloons. Once I assembled the card I use crystal lacquer on the cones for the glossy balloon effect.

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

Silver and gold was more of a challenge than I thought. I found a silver mirrored cardstock and added a gold die cut background over the top. I tried taking photos and the silver mirrored cardstock really cast a SHINE! I kept trying different shots and settled on this one but now the silver doesn't show up much...it reflected my clothing and phone (camera) colors. lol Go figure. The rose was stamped using a "heat and stick" then I added silver glitter and heated again to set. I colored the flower after, using Copic markers. I put the flower on top of some gold lined ribbon. It gave the card a "package" appearance.

I used MFP stamp set "Roses".

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I followed the instructions on the tutorial so I knew what I was to do. lol I had a tough time trying to figure out what stencil I wanted to use and many were tried. The sponging of the color was ok on all that I tried, but the stamping of the image was either lost or too difficult to even see what the stamp was. Finally I settled on this...not actually a stencil, more of a mask from a die cut. Gave me the same effect. Very easy card for the most part.

I used MFP stamp set "Black-eyes Susans".

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 260

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 260
- cool treats -

Here's my card for the design team.

This such an adorable image and I just couldn't decide how to use it. lol Once I decided on how to color it, using Copics and a sparkle gel pen to give it some glitz. I added some crystal lacquer for the cute little snowman's buttons. Then I cut it out and picked out my papers and the card started to come into place. I found a great sparkly ribbon and a "joyful" die cut and a few gems, Boom, finished!!
