using "Woodlawn Critter Huggers"

Card 1

I always have a lot of fun using my

 Lawn Fawn products! Making this card

was now exception. It was made for my

daughter, Amber, who is keeping every

critter in her area alive and well. lol! She

feeds squirrels, chipmonks, opposums,

racoons, deer, and a huge variety of birds.

Oh yeah, she also works from home and 

cares for her son, Landon Joe (LJ). So,

this die set, Woodlawn Critter Huggers ,

gets used many times for her.

I made the card an easel card so she

puts it right on her desk while she works. 

Google search took me to the measurements

for this card, and the scoring spots too.

I die cut out the pieces needed to create

the squirrel, using different grays and

light pink for the heart and ears and black

for the nose. The tail was cut out twice 

(in shades of gray) to make it fuller. 

I glued all the little pieces together with my

favorite glue, Jumbo Glue Tube. 

For little areas this is the easiest for me!

Just $10 at LF. Generally, I use Beacon 3-in-1

for large areas. It's great to position your

piece and any excess comes off easily with

a rubber and glue eraser. Anyway, once

I had my squirrel ready I hunted for a

background piece of cardstock and 

found this great wood look. I used some

leaf diecuts I had and added some green

leaves. Not sure where I found the 

acorn stamp but it was perfect for my

easel stop. I colored it with Copics.

For the inside I created a place to

hold a gift card.

Card 2

Now, this wasn't as easy but the 
Woodlawn Critter Huggers was a huge

help. My grandson, LJ, turned 7

a week after his momma's BDay and

he wanted a Sonic theme. 

Generally I try to make cards accordingly. 

So, I went to this diecut for help, along with

Google for images to copy. The main

critter base was used with blue cardstock.

The feet in red. Belly in peach. The cheeks

were in peach using an oval diecut I had

and had to cut to create the right

look for him. An oval cut on white to

make the eyes just so. A die from the 

set worked for the black in his eyes. 

A paper punch made his black nose.

I made his goofy hands myself and

diecut a "7" out of red for Sonic to hold.

Google helped me with the easel stop

and sentiment for inside.

The card was a big hit at the party.

Here are my cards for the current challenge

using "Love Birds"

I needed two anniversary cards and I 

decided that this image was sweet. 

This card was made for my hubby and 

best friend, of 54 years.

card 1

...and the other

is for my hubby's sister who shares the

same anniversary date as ours...just not

as many years. hehe

card 2

Both cards were colored with Copic 

markers. Both had the same random

sentiment...card 1 has sparkle pen accents,

some heart embellishments, stamped 5, 4 

and white heat embossed banner, raised 

up with my good ol' mounting tape.

Here are my cards...

I played around with these digis and found

a couple of options. I didn't use the large 

one this time but I will. 😀

For this card I found a water background

online and added the PNG image of the 

sentiment and lighthouse. I printed the 

lion/boat separately and colored all the 

images with Copic markers. I fussy cut out

the lion and boat and used mounting tape to

attach it to the card.........

Then, for the next card...

I created my layout using PicMonkey. (I 

use that a lot) Copics were used to color

again, with some sparkle pen 

added to the water. Then some coordinated 

layering and an anchor embellishment to

finish this card.

Here's my card...

This was a kind of "cheat" card. lol!

Taylored Expressions offered a Summer

School class that I joined in on. I 

received all the products needed, plus

I added some misc. supplies and got

creating. The stamped image was colored

with OLO markers. I had to order the

ones I used. I must say, that they are AMAZING

markers. I wish I could order them all but

since I have all the Copic markers and 

refills, I couldn't justify the purchase. Boo hoo.

The card is a diagonal Z fold base.

(I used this for my example)

After I had my base ready I created my

layers. I used a checked background

stamp on the blue and a stencil

for the background on the kraft paper.

A die cut was used for the berries

then raised up with mounting tape.

The sentiment was stamped and die cut.

The Quilted die cut was used on the oval 

white piece. I love that die!! A couple of

gems were added to complete the project.

using "Botanical Duo"

Card 1

Pretty simple creation once I found the

perfect background paper. The entire

stamp filled the whole card front. 

I did have to blacken up the stamped

image. Not sure why I couldn't get it

inked enough and I was using the Misti.

So, basically, it was a single stamp card

and some glitter pen added to the water...

and the added banner and a couple of 

coordinating layers 

and done!

Card 2

using "Botanical Duo"

I used the awesome Botanical Duo

die cut with black cardstock. The 

floral background paper was a nice, soft

fill-in for the black frames. I took another

GKD stamp set and used the "Happy 

Birthday." I had to cut the long clear stamp

so I could fit it on the card. That's an

advantage I use with clear stamps.

A couple of little heart and daisy

embellishments finished the outside.

Inside was easy peasy!
