MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 286

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 286
- Monochromatic layered stamping -

Tutorial

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I picked out the main color I wanted to work with and then began
the process of creating. I took a white piece and stamped a
background in the lightest shade. I used the same stamp, and going
in the opposite direction, stamped using a darker shade of the same
color. On a separate piece of white I stamped my main image in
the darkest ink color. Using that same ink I also stamped the
sentiment, added some pearls, yes, they are a very dark red,
and finished! Easy Peasy! Thanks for looking!!

I used MFP stamp set "Christmas Cardinals".

Here's my card for DAY 4
I saved my least favorite card for last but it's still
a cute card, I think?? lol  Anyway, I stamped my
baby rattle in blue and pink inks, randomly, to
create my background paper.  I stamped my sentiment
and used die cuts to create my tag. I edged the white
with the pink ink. An embossing folder was used on
the blue piece. I added some ribbon across the
middle and mounted the tag on it. Using white flowers
I added some of the matching inks and some blingy
gems to give the flowers some pop!  And...DONE!

First I chose the papers and colors I wanted to use
then I stamped my images and colored them with
Copic markers. I cut out the pacifier and set aside
until the finish. I used a silver metallic pen for the
handles and bars on my baby buggy. I added a
flower brad and gem to the bug. I put my card
together and added the pacifier, mounted up for
dimension and a ribbon for some cuteness. lol
I stamped BOY and my card is complete!

Here's my card for DAY 2

This is a pull card, which seemed perfect for my
stork. I used a white card base. Using a blue
piece of cardstock I punched an oval hole slot.
I used mounting tape on the back, making sure
to line it along each edge of the slot, to be a
guide for my ribbon. I stamped and cut out my
stork adding a bit of mounting tape to the back
AND to the ribbon, attaching the bird right to it.
I used white ribbon, colored blue using a Copic
marker. Be sure your ribbon is long enough
so that you don't pull in under the mounted
cardstock. I added a few die cut clouds and
stamped Baby Boy in two of them.

Now, head on over to the other blogs and have fun!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 268

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 268
- Too Cute To Spook -

Here's my card for the design team.

This digi image is just so cute and I couldn't wait to work with
it! I printed the image 3 times. I colored the main image, but not
the cat. I cut out that image. Then I colored another image,
including the cat. Using that one, I cut out the kitty. I added
mounting tape to the back of the cat and attached it to my
main image. I colored the remaining pumpkin on image 3.
I cut out the 2 pumpkins and added them BEHIND the main
image, using mounting tape for dimension. Next I used
embossing folders on my pieces of green and black
cardstocks. I used a piece of designer paper to run across
the seam. I stamped my sentiment and mounted it up and DONE!
Thanks for looking!

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 285

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

A  card that's CAS and very simple. I used a Kaleidacolor Ink
Pad to stamp my large sentiment, Autumn. Great colors. Certainly
FALL! lol  I took 3 different size leaf stamps and stamped them
on each individual color using the same ink pad. I dotted around
the edge and just layered everything to create the finished card.
Thanks for looking!

I used MFP stamp sets
"Scarecrow"
and
"Scene Selections"

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 284

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 284
- round all corners -

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I got the idea for this card from some very creative person on Pinterest
Someone's got skills. lol I had to come up with my own stamps and
images though. I think it turned out fine. First of all I rounded
all the corners for my layers. Taking a piece of brown CS I ran it
through my wood-like embossing folder and then scored it every
1/2 inch, nipping out a "v" at the end of each 1/2 inch score, creating a
"fence". I ran an ink pad, using a darker color brown. I stamped my
sentiment on the white panel and began stamping my branch, inking,
stamping and stamping again without re-inking. Liquid Applique works
so perfectly for the snow. I dotted spots all over the card and lined the
top of my fence and heated it for the wonderful puff effect. My Cardinal
is a die cut. I cut him out twice so I could add some dimention
to his wing by adding some mounting tape to the back of the top wing.
I used a white pen to outline the eye and put a black pearl in the centeer.
His bill and feet were colored using a gold sparkle pen. He was then
mounted up on top of my fence. I did sponge some brown ink
around the Cardinal and the white main card. And...that's it!
Thanks for stopping by!

I used MFP stamp sets
"Snow Gifts, mini set" .
and
"Marsh Silhouettes"

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 266

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 266
- watercolor-

Our sponsor for this challenge is

Here's my card for the design team.

I want to thank Freckled Fawn for sponsoring this challenge.
They offer some awesome products like these
Silver Puffy Heart Stickers.

Since the challenge is Watercolor I decide to actually use
watercolor cardstock. Genius, right? lol  First I stamped
my image. Then I began to "paint" using my watercolor
brush tool. My paints? This was actually fun. I used
my old TomBow markers, scribbling various colors onto
a clear block, or anything plastic would work, and picked
up the color with the brush. I painted my flower image first
then filled in the entire background using a pale blue/green.
I then flicked some of the blue/green from my brush creating
some dots. I did lightly mist the entire card with water.
I speeded the drying process using my embossing tool.
Finally I stamped my sentiment and added the cool
puffy heart stickers. I KNOW I will use these a lot!
ta da...finished.

Still time to get involved with the current challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.

Another Card

I made this card back in Sept. for my friend Sue.
I don't get to see her as much as I'd like lately. Work
gets in the way...lol...it's HER job that's in the way.
hehe

Stamps are from Sugar Pea Designs. Adorable!

Wedding Card

My dear friend, Ardith's (Ardie) son, Davey got married
in September and this is the card I made for the lovely
couple. Ardie's children are like family to me and I love
them dearly! Hard to believe that more than 43 years ago
Ardie was standing up at MY wedding. Years do go by!

Yes...I had to make the envelope too! lol

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I really enjoy making winter/Christmas cards and once I picked out my
papers for the panels and background I then hunted for just the right
stamp and sentiment. This little snowman is just so cute! I loved coloring
him with my Copics and I paper pieced his hat and scarf. Yep, that is
paper pieced. Was it the perfect paper, or what??? His hat came out just
right!!! I added some twine and mounted the snowman and stamped
my sentiment on the bottom. (shhh...secret...I stamped a Merry Christmas
on a different paper and added it OVER the "Let's be Friends"
so I could use it for one of my Christmas cards.) hehe

I used MFP stamp set "Snow Gifts" mini.

Gerda Steiner Oct. Challenge

I got this adorable little hedgehog from Gerda Steiner
Designs for the October monthly challenge. It was
really fun coloring this guy. I didn't want to add too
much to the card because I really wanted to showcase
the image. Be sure to check out all the digis and
there's plenty of time to join in the challenge.

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 282
- Collage Stamping -
Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

Basically I followed the tutorial, shown above, but I wanted
my standout part, not to be an image, but the sentiments
I stamped around in black. I used coordinating inks for
stamping images and sponging on additional
color. Using some black twine I wrapped it around
the card front, adding a bow.

I used MFP stamp set "Marsh Silhouettes"
