Here's my card to start you on your way!
(Big Trees)

I really like this set, Big Trees, even though I only used ONE of the trees to make my card. I started by masking in the sky and hills. Then I stamped my trees in black. The "smaller" trees were stamped by using just the top of the large pine. I colored the trees using Copic markers YG95 and G94.  I then added my "lake" by masking over the lower hill and made a straight edge mask for the lake. I sponged in the blue, right over the trees and all. It didn't affect the colors of the trees at all. Then I stamped and cut out one large tree and mounted it on the right. The "Happy Birthday" sentiment came from MFP stamp set "Island Life" and glued (over a mistake) to front.  Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to check out all the other great blogs below! Remember to comment!

(Paper Doll Sophia Let's Go)

Sophia has some new clothes and hits the great outdoors in my card. I sponged the background. I then stamped the tree (A Trip To Lancaster) and sentiment (North American Woods). Sophia's clothes are paper pieced. I guess a went a bit retro with them. lol She was colored using Copic markers and mounted to the card. Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit all the blogs so you don't miss out on their wonderful samples!! We have a great design team!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 242

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 242 - Get Well

Here's my card for the design team.

This little nurse is just what the doctor ordered. I used Karleigh Sue's "Love Sick Nurse". I love white on white and this cute little nurse looked just right on it. I accented with red to match her hat's cross. I colored her using Copic markers Y28, Y53, Y0000 for her hair, E11, E00, E000 for her skin, with R20 for cheeks. Her uniform was done in C5, C3, C00. R37 was the red for the cross and her blue eyes and the liquid in the shot was B14. Clipboard was E57. I'm not great at remembering or taking the time to add all the colors I use but I think that was it for this card. lol  The sentiment was from Mark's Finest Papers stamp set "Tiger Lily".

Thanks to Karleigh Sue digis for the adorable images!!

Still time to get involved with the current challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.

Here's my card to start you on your way!
I tried to make this card to look like a room and sweet little Sophia trying to pick out something to wear. I paper pieced the dress and her undies. I took the dark brown and embossed it to look like the paneling. The little pic on the wall was designer paper that I "framed". I used Copic markers to color Sophia.  Thanks for stopping by! Be sure to visit all the blogs so you don't miss out on their wonderful samples!! We have a great design team!

Gerda Steiner Designs...Design Team Call

Well, I must be crazy, or have too much time on my hand but I thought I'd throw in my hat, or card, in the ring to try to be a part of Gerda Steiner Designs design team. A friend suggested I give this a try, and I wasn't even familiar with GSD but once I check out the website I was hooked. Such fun digis AND clear stamps. Ok...enough of my babbling. Here's the card I chose to make.
I used "Kid With Umbrella" and first picked out my papers. I know, kind of backward, but it helped with me deciding what colors to make my digi. I used Copic markers for coloring this darling little digi. I added a few die cut tags and some raindrop embellishments, including a brad for the umbrella topper. As shown in the pic below, I added a crystal glaze to make his coat, boots and puddle pop! I think the umbrella would be fun to print on pattern paper for paper piecing too...that's for future cards! lol  The sentiment is from Sweet n Sassy Summertime Rhubarb set. I couldn't resist the "slish splash" for this card.

Thanks for stopping by!!

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 259

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 259
- use only the center of your top layer -

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

After using an embossing folder I stamped my lighthouse image. I cut out a lighthouse to use as a mask and then masked out a rectangle and a horizon line, covering the "sky". Using daubers (sponges will work too) I added the blue ink for the water. Removing the horizon mask from the "sky" I then covered the "water" and used yellow ink for around the lighthouse beacon, then gray ink for the sky. I removed all masks and then colored my lighthouse with Copic markers. I hadn't intended to add a sentiment but one of my markers decided to drip and a sentiment was then needed to cover the spot. lol Whatever works, I guess. I used all Memento Inks.

I used MFP stamp set "Lighthouses".

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

Ok...this card was SUPER easy!! It's basic but still has a rich look to it. I stamped my mushroom image on a separate piece of white cardstock, cutting around the mushroom. I left the edge under it so I had room to stamp my sentiment. I layered it onto a black piece of cardstock, white was layer onto white. Add a couple of pearls and ta da!

I used MFP stamp sets "Mushroom Selections" and "Gardenias" for the sentiment.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 240

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 240 - all clear (use something clear)

Here's my card for the design team.

Naturally when I realized I needed to use something clear, acetate was the first thing that came to mind and a window was a must. I used the darling little digi Sunflower Smooches, from The Stamping Boutique. I printed the image 5 times. I cut my Sunflower girl in half, and colored her with Copic markers. I attached the acetate to my window die cut. I used an embossing folder that would look (sort  of) like house siding. I attached my girl to the window and put a gingham background behind her. I took the remaining 4 images and colored and cut out the daisies from her hat to make flowers for the flower box. I added a cut tag and some bakers twine for my bows.

Thanks to The Stamping Boutique for the adorable image!!

Still time to get involved with the current challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

You want some GOLD emboss...YOU got it! lol  I embossed my lovely flower and decided NOT to color it at all. It was so pretty just as is. I then used an embossing folder on my shiny gold cardstock and added a ribbon to match, and DONE! This will either be a wedding or anniversary card.

I used MFP stamp set "Gardenia".

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 239

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 239 - Friendship

Here's my card for the design team.

I had lots of fun working with My Grafico digis! I couldn't pass up coloring these adorable dinosaurs. Naturally I used Copic markers to color. I added some sparkle gel pens to give the cuties a little shine to the orange parts. I used a circle die cut to make a "window", adding a dotted line around it. A torn piece of green designer paper for the "ground" and DONE! The sentiments are from My Favorite Things.

Thanks to My Grafico for the adorable images!!

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 256

Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 256
- cut panel card -

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I followed the tutorial, except, I will admit that I messed up the cut out the first time so, not wanting to throw out the mushroom I had already colored, I glued it to my card and did the cutting again! lol It turned out ok. I colored the mushroom with Copic markers. I also used the Copics to color my white pearls the matching green.

I used MFP stamp sets "Mushrooms" and "Gardenia".
