Nov. 25th **SKETCH WITH A TWIST ** Challenge 120 - winter theme.
Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.
This card actually looks so pretty in "person". I stamped the snowflakes using Versamark pad and heat embossed using a white glitter embossing powder. The snowflakes, on the shimmer cardstock, are striking. I colored my little snowguy using Copic markers, adding button brads that I colored with my Silver leafing pen. A touch of Liquid Applique for the mitten cuffs for a "furry" appearance. Naturally I needed to use a sparkle glitter pen to outline my snowbuddy! All snow sparkles, right???
I used MFP stamp sets "Brrrr" and "Snowflakes".

Oct. 14th **SKETCH WITH A TWIST ** Challenge 117 - Use Owls.
Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.
I used a colored core brown cardstock and embossed a wood grain, then I took a sanding block and buffed the raised edges for dimension. The owl was stamped in black and colored with Copic markers, stamping and extra set of his claws. I glued two googly eyes to complete the owl. Next I stamped the sentiment on a small panel, gold leafing the edge. I added mounting tape to the back and glued the extra claws on it to give the appearance that the owl is holding it. I added a ribbon and brad to finish the card.
I used MFP stamp set "Owls".
