- Mask then sponge stripes -

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I took a white piece of cardstock and masked a stripe every 1/4" using a dauber to apply the green ink. I then took a pink piece of cardstock and used an embossing folder for a wood type look. I stamped the pot once and the flower 3 times then colored and cut them all out. I used a sparkle pen for the flower centers. Once I had my layers picked out and glued I glued on the pot and flowers, the third flower is mounted up. I added the black twine and the sentiment and done!
Thanks for looking!

I used MFP stamp set "Pots & Vases", "Small Flowers", "Animal Birthdays" for the sentiment.

DAY 4
Here's my card to start you on your way!

I scored a Kraft colored piece of cardstock, rubbing a brown ink over the top to give it a shading. I found a nice green checked pattern paper for the lower half of my card, adding a strip of the Kraft, not inked, for the center, creating my wall look. I took more of the Kraft to make my shelf. I used a border punch for the white "doily". I stamped 3 pots and the flower and colored them using Copic markers and mounted the shelf and the pots. Stamped my sentiment in black and done!

I used
"Pots & Vases 2"
"Pretty Pears" for the flower
"Friends" for the sentiment

DAY 3
Here's my card to start you on your way!

When I can use a background stamp I can zip out a quick, yet, nice card. I simply stamped everything in coordinating blue ink to match the cardstock. Raised the layered sentiment, added a crystal flower (yes, it's a clear flower, not peachy like it looks here. lol) and that was it! Next time I will color the flower images for some color, matching up the cardstocks.

I used
"Background Diamonds & Flowers"

DAY 2
Here's my card to start you on your way!

Instead of creating the paper dolls, as such, I would rather incorporate them into a card somehow. This is my Hunter Chuck. Apparently he's a lousy hunter since I forgot to put a gun in his hand and the deer stands behind him laughing. lol I paper pieced his clothes, stamping on a green pattern paper then adding more green blotches using my Copic markers. I used different greens and die cuts for the hills, trees and deer.

I used
"Paper Doll Chuck formal & hunting"
and
"Tree Scene" for the sentiment

DAY 1
Here's my card to start you on your way!

Instead of creating the paper dolls, as such, I would rather incorporate them into a card somehow. This is my rugged up Chuck. I wanted him to be a hiker, of sorts. I paper pieced his clothes and added some shading using my Copic markers. I also gave him the facial hair. lol  My background for him was done using my chalks for the coloring.
I used
"Paper Doll Chuck"
and
"Tree Scene"

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 250

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 250 - Stenciling

Here's my card for the design team.

This little digi really just had to be a pull card because that bike just had to move. It's been forever since I made one and had forgotten how much fun they are! Here's a TUTORIAL in case you've never made one before. But, since this was a stencil challenge I figured I should do just that, right? Anyway I took a dot stencil (I made it using a circle punch) and used a pretty blue ink, the same I used for the sky, applying it with a dauber. I used some die cuts for the background. Copic markers were my coloring tools of choice, AGAIN. :-) I did some layering and got my bike to move.
I added some Flower Soft for the basket and the little lady's hair. Boom! Done!

Still time to get involved with the current challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 267

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 267
- Kraft paper & White Embossing -

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

Once I picked out my layering choices I stamped the first (lower) pear with a VersaMark pad and used white embossing powder and heat set it. I repeated this for my next pear, stamping right over the prior embossed pear. I took a paper towel and carefully wiped off any of the VersaMark that was on the embossed pear. Then I heat set the second pear. I stamped the sentiment and added a twine bow to the pear's stems.

I used MFP stamp set "Pretty Pears".

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

This Nuthatch is one of my fave stamps because it is so simple to color. I used Copic markers. Some layering with a bit of color seemed to bee just what the Nuthatch needed to pop out!

I used MFP stamp set "Peaceful Nuthatch".

A Card For Dale Morgan

I was able to celebrate part of a day with Dale on his birthday. Gerri, Greg and I joined him for breakfast at our wonderful local coffee house, Cafe Tlazo. Yummy and nice time. The guys went golfing after and Gerri and I just went home and yakked. No stamping at all...WHAT??? lol I did make this card for Dale. He was having a BIG birthday...he does NOT look his age at all! Lucky guy!

I found the idea for this card on Pinterest. It was a simple card, sponging/dauber inks on the edges. A birthday sentiment. Inside says "weren't you old enough last year?" Die cut numbers, twine and a circle mounted up and done! Happy birthday, Dale!!

A Sue Chaney Card

I LOVE getting cards and especially cards from Sue Chaney. She really does need her own blog to show off her awesome creativity! She used stamps from Unity Stamp Co. They are such darling stamps and Sue knows how to show them off so nicely!! THANKS, SUE!!! xo

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 248

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 248 - Frame It

Here's my card for the design team.

ADFD has such adorable images I never feel I do them justice with how I color them but I still try. lol I die cut out my oval, around the image and used a dauber with a blue ink for the sky. I used Copic markers to color the image. As usual, I have lots of layers. I used an embossing fold on the blue cardstock, creating my frame. I then added some flowers to complete my card.

MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 265

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 265
- Die Cut Design -
Tutorial

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

I followed the tutorial, as shown at top, and got my star die cuts out. I actually cut all 3 at the same time, one inside of the other, etc. I used a cloud embossing folder for the navy cardstock and attached the stars. I colored my moon with Copic markers and a clear sparkle pen for some shine. I mounted the moon and the sentiment to give some added dimension. I finished the card by layering. For the sentiment I only wanted the part I used, so I cut the stamp. I never mind cutting the stamps because they still lay together nicely if I want the whole thing in the future. If you don't want to cut the stamp, or it's just too close to cut without damaging it, just cover the part you don't want to stamp with a piece of paper, held by tape. Be careful to remove the paper after inking your stamp, then stamp.
Thanks for stopping by!

I used MFP stamp set "Sun & Moon".

Challenge Post For Sue Chaney!!

Since Sue doesn't have her own blog, she asked me to post this adorable card for her. She does make some of the best cards and this one is just perfect for the
My incentive to post this for Sue was, according to her, "If I win, I promise to make my own blog, so you no longer have to do such things for me."  hehe...GOOD LUCK, SUE!!!!

Here's what inspired Sue...

Here is the finished card!

If you've never shopped at Unity Stamp Co. you don't know what you're missing!!
