Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 344

Challenge 344 - doodles

Now for the challenge FUN from Tuesday Throwdown
and our awesome sponsor, STAMPlorations!

Here's my card for the challenge.
This digital image from STAMPlorations is awesome. I
love that the edges aren't perfectly straight. More of a
sketch look. It seemed to be made for watercoloring.
Ok...I'm a novice when it comes to watercoloring but I am
hoping with more practice I will get better. On that note, I
printed my image on watercolor paper and then used
Spectrum Noir Aqua Water-based markers and water
to create my watercolor effect. I added some Clear Glaze
to the entire image and it looks so cool in person.
After it dried I got my layers all put together and
I added a raised sentiment from STAMPlorations,
edge with a gold leafing pen, and a pretty paper
butterfly that I added some matching ink to.

Here's my card for the challenge!
Our sponsor, Fred She Said, has some awesome digis
so be sure to check out their store!
I have a friend with an upcoming birthday and this
lovely floral is perfect! I used my Copics to color this
image. I printed out an extra image to I could color and
cut out two of the larger flowers to raise up on the main
image to give some dimension to the card. I embossed the
main blue piece of cardstock and attached my layers. I found
two gorgeous butterfly embellishments to attach to the
card. I added some gold sparkle dots, using a sparkle pen,
to the center of my flowers.

For the inside I added another cut out flower, raising it
up with pop dots. The sentiment is one I've had forever
but it's always great for my CLOSE friends! LOL!

Here's my card for the challenge!
Our sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps, has some awesome digis
and I can never decide which one to use because they are all
adorable!! Since I am missing my Florida beach I felt I needed
to use this cutie! To begin, I took a piece of white cardstock
and masked an oval. I sponged on some yellow and blue
to create my ocean horizon. I used a Sweet n Sassy palm
island stamp, inked in black, and added a couple of hand
drawn birds...yes, I am highly gifted. HAHA! I colored my
beach babe using Copic markers and cut her out. I attached
her using mounting tape. Naturally, I needed to use my clear
glaze on her glasses for the lens shine.
I added a sentiment that seemed perfect with my bathing
beauty. Not sure whose sentiment though.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 342

Challenge 342 - doodles

Now for the challenge FUN from Tuesday Throwdown
and our awesome sponsor, CraftyGirl!

Here's my card for the challenge.
I used CraftyGirl's digi, "Silly Dog" and I just love this
crazy pooch! I colored him with my Copic Markers and
cut him out. Since the challenge was "Doodles" I was at
a blank on what type of doodle would work with him and...
I came up with nothing except it seemed like a perfect
name for the pup! LOL. I did put two small doodles by
the name on the doggie house. hehe. I used die cuts to
create the landscape, clouds and doghouse.  I put the
house in an embossing folder to give it a woody look.
I sponges some brown ink over it and edged the little
name plaque as well.
I put my card together and took some
FSJ Glaze and added it to "Doodle's" tongue and eyes.
So now you know how I choose to "doodle". lol
This was the kind of card that just makes me smile.
Hope you enjoyed it too!

Here's my card for the challenge!
Our sponsor, Sparkle N Sprinkle has some awesome digis
and this one was too funny to pass up! I've got just the
friend to send this one to!! The little piggy was colored using
Copic markers. I used a die cut to have a cute little sentiment
bubble. I took a dark blue piece of cardstock and added a
piece of pattern paper and two white strips to create my
base background. I layered up the sentiment and the piggy.
The bubble is raised using pop dots and I used a glaze to
give the splashing water and shine.

The little twine bow was added after I tore my corner. UGH!!
But, there are never any boo boos in stamping, RIGHT???
All in all I think my friend will get a kick out of this "sow".

Crafter's Companion Coloring Page 2

I will be trying to give a decent tutorial
and promote the awesome products that
C.C. has to offer. Be sure to check out
their website! You won't be disappointed!
Here is another project I'm working on.
I've finished the coloring portion of it but
I am planning on framing and mounting
it on something a bit firmer, like poster
board, and using it as a "post-it note"
board in my crafting room. Often I loan
products and write info on a post-it note
and stick it SOMEWHERE in the room.
Now I'll be able to actually find the memo.
Here is my future "Board". lol
In case this sounds like the last coloring
page post, you're right. I had to send that
one in to the HSN for May 9 when
Crafter's Companion will be showcasing
their awesome products. So...I made another
one...different page but same premise.
These are so much fun coloring! I used
Spectrum Noir Colorista Markers and the
coloring page came from an AWESOME
pad. Spectrum Noir Colorista Premium
 Marker 12x12 pad.
