Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 358

Challenge 358 - Masking

Now for the challenge FUN from Tuesday Throwdown
and our awesome sponsor, Freckled Fawn!
Here's my card for this week's challenge.
This such a quickie card. It took me about 10 minutes
to make. I had cut a scallop die cut and I used the
part, with the die cut removed, as my mask. I used daubers
to apply my inks in a random pattern. My die cut flower is
from Penny Black and my stamped sentiment is from Fun
Stampers Journey. Add a couple of coordinating gems and
put my card together for the finished product!

Here's my card!
This was such a darling image to play with. I used my
Copic markers to color this and diecut it out with a stitch
rectangle. I mounted it on top of a Swiss dot embossed
cardstock and mounted that up on top of a white card.
I added a bit of crystal lacquer to the little heart and used
a clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen to glitz up the flowers.
The final bling was just the right things!

This card was so much fun creating. First I chose my papers
and decided my layout. I used a diecut for my image and
colored that crazy little squirrel with my Spectrum Noir markers.
I used a dauber with a bit of a light tan ink to smudge around
the white and the squirrel. I edged the white with ink too.
I took some coordinating papers and used a diecut to create
my leaves. I used a dauber to add some brown ink to the leaves
to tone them down. Then a cute bow of brown and tan twine.
I glued two of the leaves down flat and raised the third
using a bit of mounting tape to complete this fun little card.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 356

Challenge 356 - Anything Goes

Now for the challenge FUN from Tuesday Throwdown
and our awesome sponsor, DRS Designs!
Here's my card for this week's challenge.
This little image just made me smile! I'm always drawn
to frogs because my daughter, Amber, LOVES them.
She will probably end up getting it! Anyway, I printed
my image and colored it with Copic markers then cut
him out. Then it was just a matter of choosing papers
and layout. I loved the bug background papers but my
frog got lost in the pattern. So, I die cut a couple of
ovals and used them as a back drop for the frog. After
doing that I saw a perfect spot for a few "ribbits".  I
added some clear glaze on the water to complete the card.

MHK Designs has such lovely images to work with and
this little bird just captured my imagination and took me
right back to my Florida winters!! I printed the image
on watercolor cardstock and took great care when I
watercolored the piece so the ink wouldn't run. The bird
was colored using my Spectrum Noir markers and I did
my watercoloring of the sky and water using Spectrum
Noir Aqua markers. I had printed a starfish and sand
dollar to color and cut out so I could had some POP
dimension added to the cute sentiment!
Create a layer and finish the card. Simple!

Tuesday Throwdown 354

Challenge 352 - Tic Tac Toe

Now for the challenge FUN from Tuesday Throwdown
and our awesome sponsor, MyGrafico!

Here's my card for the challenge.
I really had fun making this card. First of all I flicked a
toothbrush full of Artist Liquid Masking fluid onto a piece of
white cardstock. Then I sponges on navy ink and a bit of
yellow and pink. The yellow and pink don't show very much.
After the masking fluid dried I rubbed it off, leaving the
star-like affect. I colored the images using Copic markers
and then cut them out. I added some glaze to the helmet
and space ship windows.
I made my own sentiments for the front and inside.
After I cut out my images I raised the little rocket
and space boy on the front and added a bit of waxy flax for
the rocket cable. I put my layers together and done!
