Crafter's Companion Card 3

I will be trying to give a decent tutorial
and promote the awesome products that
C.C. has to offer. Be sure to check out
their website! You won't be disappointed!

I used Spectrum Noir Colorista
EZmount Stamp Set
Elements 2
First thing I did was stamp the main
image using Memento Tuxedo Black.
Using my Spectrum Noir alcohol markers
I began the coloring!
I used the Clear Spectrum Noir Sparkle
Glitter Brush pen to add shimmer to my
flower petals.
Next I stamped a butterfly and colored it
with my SN markers, adding the SN Sparkle
Glitter, Rose Quartz, over the entire
butterfly! and cut it out.
I shaped the butterfly, rounding the wings
a bit and added a bit of mounting tape to
the back and attached it to my card.
I added some "flying pattern" dots and
a few colored dots around a bit of the
flowers and attached my layers to complete
my card.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 340

Challenge 340 - embossing

Now for the challenge FUN from Tuesday Throwdown
and our awesome sponsor, Sweet 'n Sassy!

Here's my card for the challenge.
Since I just returned from Florida...to Wisconsin...let me
say that I am missing the warmth. This image was
especially nice to work with. Brought back my tropical
memories. I used daubers to sponge on my color for the
sky, water, and sand. I then used my Copics for adding
additional shading and coloring. Using a sparkle pen
I added a little shimmer to the water. Since I had
printed out two of the images so I could add
dimension to my umbrella. A little mounting tape
and poof, dimension!
I added the image to a pretty embossed piece of
white cardstock for a clean looking scene!

Here's my card for the challenge!
Our sponsor, All Dressed Up has some awesome digis
and I just LOVE this one. It had a sentiment for  a "MUM"
but sadly my MOM has gone to be the with Lord, so, I
just cut the image out after I used my Spectrum Noir
alcohol markers to color it.

I raised the cut out image using mounting tape and
added a few gems to bring in the bling!
I embossed a piece of white cardstock and added
the raised image and a few more gem to finish.
My tiny sentiment is from Fun Stampers Journey.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Crafter's Companion Card 2

I will be trying to give a decent tutorial
and promote the awesome products that

I am finding that Crafter's Companion
is teaching me how to create outside of
my usual comfort zone, and this card
is certainly not my zone, but I think it
turned out ok??
I used two different Sheena Douglass
stamps sets to create this card.
El Musico                       Just Torn
First thing I did was stamp the main
images from both sets, the Just Torn
image twice, using Memento Tuxedo
Black. Using my Spectrum Noir alcohol
markers I began the coloring!

When I got my coloring the way I
wanted I added some Dazzle stickers
to accent the Skull's jacket and a
couple of feathers to perk up his hat.
I colored my extra Just Torn image
and began cutting out some of the
edges for layering on the main piece.
For the main Just Torn image
I cut out the center when I finished
coloring it. I had it stamped on
white cardstock, centered on a
4 x 5 1/4 inch piece.  I took my cut
edges from the extra Torn image and
used some mounting tape to add them
to my main card. Next I cut out my
Skull image and placed him so he was
coming through the hole. I used more
of the mounting tape on the back of
my Skull so he would be raised up more.
I added some clear S.N. Sparkle Brush pen
to the teeth of my skull (didn't photo well).
I used a dauber to edge around the
main image layout with black ink. It
was placed on a piece of black cardstock
and boom...my card!

Here's my card for the challenge!
Sasayaki Glitter has some great digis and I was excited
to use this cute little girl. While I was trying to think of
how I wanted to use her, I felt she needed some books
for a background, sooooo, off to Google I went. I searched
Book Images and found one I liked. I saved it then printed
it out on cardstock. Perfect!! I colored my image using
Copic markers and cut her out. The sentiment is from
My Favorite Things and it just seemed to go perfectly
with the Sasayaki Glitter digi! I added a layer of mounting
tape under the little girl, and two layers under the die
cut sentiment. That gave it great dimension.  Naturally
I needed to add a bit of FSJ Glaze to her glasses.
I needed to add the rest of the sentiment to the inside
of the card, with a couple of stamped books from My
Favorite Things. I used inks from Amuse.

Crafter's Companion Card

This is my first "official" post as a
part of Crafter's Companion Color Team.
I will be trying to give a decent tutorial
and promote the awesome products that
C.C. has to offer. Be sure to check out
their website! You won't be disappointed!

Here's my finished card...now, let's see
if I can show you how I made it! LOL
First of all I stamped my main image on
white cardstock, using Momento Tuxedo
Black. I also stamped on of the single
flowers twice and a leaf. Then, using my
awesome Spectrum Noir Alcohol Markers.
I colored the flowers, beginning at the
center, using the darkest color and worked
my way to the outside of the flower getting
lighter to the outer edges of the flowers.

Next I used IB1 to color the background.

I colored the "torn" edges of the image.

For the leaves I chose my greens and
colored the same, dark to light, as I
did on the flowers.

This is the completed image. I also
colored my extra stamped flowers and
leaf and cut them out for later.

I used the clear Spectrum Noir
Sparkle Glitter Brush Pen to add
a bit of blingy shine to all my flowers.

I took a bit of white ribbon and used
the chiseled tip of one of the flower
colored pens to match my card.  I wrapped
the colored ribbon around the bottom of
my image piece, attaching it to the back.
I found a few yellow/gold pearls to add
to the flower centers. Using some mounting
tape I added my extra flowers and leaves.

I attached the image to a piece of
matching shimmer cardstock and
completed my card.
As a footnote, let me just say I loved
working with the Spectrum Noir Alcohol
Markers! Thanks for stopping by!
