Last Week

Well, last week I was a guest of Gerri Morgan, at her cottage! It was so very awesome! The lake was beautiful, food was good, and the company, the BEST! During the week we were joined by Sue Chaney, Terri Winske and Sara Woodard. Yes, it was a stamping WEEK!! It was all such fun, as always. I'm going to post some of the cards we completed while we were there! First, a pic of the bear that strolled through one morning, not a great pic, but cool. Also, watching all the birds was so calming.
First of all, here are a couple of my cards:
Here's a few of Gerri's (she made lots of awesome cards!):
Just a few of Sue's (she really has a knack for embellishing her cards):
These are Terri's...she was only there a day and does LOTS of card prep to be finished when she is home:
And...Sara...she colored the entire time. lol So I just have pics of 2 of her amazing "copic-ings".

Happy Father's Day!

I am pretty sure there are very few MEN looking into my blog but I do know that many women are not only moms but "dads" as well...so to you double duty gals...KUDOS!!! My own mother was one of those amazing ladies! Ok...enough of all that and onto the card! Here is the card I made for my girls daddy, Greg. He's been a fantastic father!

It's Been A While...

Yep, it's been way more than a while...but I guess now that I'm SIXTY, 6 - 0, 60 60 60, I think my energy and brain left on a permanent vacation. Hope the weather there is nicer than here!! 40s...in JUNE??? I think that's got to be a SIN!!! But...anyway, life has been good and time just flies by. We spent a week in KS back in May and enjoyed wonderful weather (yes, we missed all the tornadoes, thank God) with dear friends!! We got to watch Nick Skiles graduate!! He's a WONDERFUL young man! We love that boy!! Now here are a few cards I received for my birthday back in May!! Such a treat!!! Here are a couple that Greg received for his May birthday first... from Gerri Morgan... from Sue Chaney... Sue and Gerri are such great card makers!! I always look forward to getting them!! Now...to me, from Sue...(this is just sooooo adorable!!! Great coloring too!!) To me, from Gerri...(love it!!) This is from a friend of mine that always remembers my birthday even though we seldom get together anymore! She does a great job!! Thanks, Linda Clark!! And last...but never least, thanks to Claire Easson. She does an amazing job "coloring"! Getting these great cards makes having a birthday worth while! Can I have a birthday every month??? heehee

Home Again Home Again, jiggity jig

Since FL I've been soooo behind on stuff and I'm still behind on stuff. Oh well. Life goes on, with or without me. lol Today Sue Chaney and I did some Skype stamping for a couple of challenges so I needed to be posting anyway. (you can see the entries following this one) I am posting a couple of cards I've done recently... This is a graduation card I made for this past Sunday. A young man from my church is home schooled and has many health issues but completed his home-schooling by graduating and is planning ahead to some tech college in law enforcement. Congrats to Donald Jensen!! Very simple card but I think it turned out nicely! Here is a project for April's Stamp Time. (you can see one of the other projects below) This is a gift card holder that is just simply cute. It is navy blue, though the second photo looks brown and icky. lol Same cam and lighting. Go figure. Here are a couple of cards I sent to Sue when I was in FL and didn't want to post them before you got them. lol
