MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 281

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 281
- sponge over a die cut negative to make your background -

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

No, I'm not really thinking about Christmas...yet...but, I really liked the poinsettia die cuts and the negative worked nicely. I sponged a red ink, thus creating my background. I attached the background to a dark green layer. I embossed the bottom part of the cardfront. Then I found a velvet ribbon that said Merry Christmas and attached it, separating the green and white portion of the card. I stamped a poinsettia and colored it using Copic markers, adding a few yellow gems to all the flower centers. That added a nice contrasting color. I mounted up the large poinsettia and done. Thanks for checking it out!

I used MFP stamp set "Poinsettia Blooms"

  3. The sponged poinsettias turned out beautifully. You were brave to try them. I just know I would have ended up with red smudges all over my card!! Eeeeek. Really beautiful card!
