MFP Speedy Fox & Friends Challenge 279

Mark's Finest Papers Speedy Fox  and Friends Challenge 279
- use both silver & gold -

Here's my sample card as a design team member for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!

Here's my sample for Mark's Finest Papers design team.

Silver and gold was more of a challenge than I thought. I found a silver mirrored cardstock and added a gold die cut background over the top. I tried taking photos and the silver mirrored cardstock really cast a SHINE! I kept trying different shots and settled on this one but now the silver doesn't show up much...it reflected my clothing and phone (camera) colors. lol Go figure. The rose was stamped using a "heat and stick" then I added silver glitter and heated again to set. I colored the flower after, using Copic markers. I put the flower on top of some gold lined ribbon. It gave the card a "package" appearance.

I used MFP stamp set "Roses".

  1. Beautiful card Pam. I like the addition of the gold lined ribbon to make it look like a package, great idea.

  2. Very pretty card; love the background.

  3. That rose looks so pretty on the cross made of ribbon! This turned out to be simply gorgeous!

  4. Ah, yes.....the challenges of photographing that gorgeous metallic sheen!!! This is just beautiful. Love your idea of the gold die cut over the silver mirror cardstock! Awesome card!!!
