Now my card for Day 3
This was a fun card to create. I found my cute little turkey
and decided that I needed to paper piece him. I did color
his hat, feet and beak area with Copics. I cut him out and
set him aside until I made my hills, sponging the edges
with brown ink. I was trying to decide what to do
with the sky when I found the leafy designer paper.
I thought that the sky around my house looks like that
a lot in the Fall. :-) I used a word bubble die cut for the
Thankful sentiment and added the main sentiment right
to the "hill". lol THANKS for stopping by!
I used the stamp set I Am Thankful from MFP.

Now my card for Day 2
Any card that requires my coloring "skills", and I use
that term loosely, it takes me lots of time. This rose
was no exception. I fussy cut it out and raised it up
on my pink checked designer paper, after I added
my sparkly green (yes, it's green) ribbon. I just
added my sentiment to the lower corner and that was it!
I used the stamp set ROSES from MFP.

Tuesday Throwdown Challenge 317

Tuesday Throwdown
Challenge 317
-Add a Border-

Here's my card for the challenge!
Our sponsor, Conie Fong Art has some super cute
images. Be sure to go visit them and check them all out.
I picked "Joy To The World" to create my card.
I just wasn't sure what border, or type of border
I wanted to use with this cute little penguin. I finally
settled on leafy vine border adding a couple of
poinsettias in the corner. I colored my little icy
friend with Copics and embossed the main white
piece of cardstock. The rest was all just different
layers of cardstock. I added a dotted edge/border
around the penguin. I used a sparkle pen to bling
up the snow, furry hat trim and the "JOY".

Here's my card for DAY 1
My card was obviously a very simple one but
I really like how it turned out. I stamped the
sentiment 3 times, in different colors, stamping
off once each. Then, the main image stamped in
black. A bit of layering and done.
I used the stamp set Autumn Glory

***COLOR***
Here's my sample card as a design team member
for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head
on over to JOIN IN the challenge fun!
I rummaged through my paper drawer and found colors
that matched, pretty closely, the colors for the challenge.
Then I needed an idea...ummm...so, I checked through
my die cuts to see what I could use and I found this sun
burst, but then what??? I managed to get my layers set
and then I struggled some more. sigh...Finally after
going through my MFP stamps I saw the sentiment and
thought, "this will work"...somehow. I found a butterfly
and used Stampin'Up markers to apply ink directly to
the stamp and then I "huffed" a bit of moisture to the
stamp and ink and STAMPED!
I like the watercolor look and the soft colors. I added
it to my card using a bit of mounting tape and
rounding the wings a tad.

It's pretty obvious what inspired me from the photos.
I stamped my sunflower on a tan cardstock and edged
it using a Gold Leafing Pen. I colored the flower with
Copic markers. I stamped my cat and fussy cut it out
and colored the flower and dotted with a gold sparkle
pen. I mounted my layers together then added my cat,
using pop dots. I stamped my sentiment and added
a couple of pearls and that's it!

Tuesday Throwdown
Challenge 315
-Halloween Inspiration-

Here's my card for the challenge!
Our sponsor, A Day For Daisies (ADFD) has the best
images. Be sure to go visit them and check them all out.
I picked Black Cats For Sale to create my card. It's too
cute!! First I colored my cute digi, using Copics, and
a bit of gray ink for sponging the sky and edges. Then it
was just a matter of choosing my card colors. I always
love purple, black and orange for Halloween. For my
little black kitties, that I colored a solid black, I used a
white pen for the eyes, adding a small black dot in the
white. For their little noses I used a pink sparkle pen.
I found that trying to color the kitties with much
detail was too challenging for me, so just the flat
black worked out fine for me. They look pretty
sweet. A bit of black twine and a "meow"
embellishment and finished!

Craft Your Passions Challenges #333

I'm excited to be joining a new Design Team with
Best part about the challenges is that they are
ALWAYS
Anything Goes!!

Here's my card for CYP Challenge #333
This little digi was so delicate and sweet that I felt
a card with too much in the way of embellishing
would be overpowering so I kept is simple.
I colored the little image using Copic markers. I used
a green sparkle pen for her head band. I layered
my cardstocks and fussy cut out my little girl. I added
her to my card using mounting tape to raise her up. I
stamped my sentiment in black and added 3 orange dots
from Fun Stampers Journey to complete this card.

Here's a big THANK YOU to this week's sponsor

***Different Card/Technique***
Faux Metallic Embellishment
Here's my sample card as a design team member
for Mark's Finest Papers! Thanks for looking and head

This was a great tutorial and I can't believe I never thought
of it before. Silly me. I first stamped my flower and
colored it using Copic markers. Then I followed the
tutorial and silver embossed my die cut tag 3 times and
"stamped" my sentiment.  It made a great metallic look.
Once it cooled, which didn't take long at all, I punched
holes on each side and ran a ribbon around and attached
it, using some pop dots under the tag. I added a couple of
tiny gems and put together my layers to complete
the card. I enjoyed this tutorial and will use it again!!
