PIP Challenge 1718

Pammie's Inky Pinkies
Challenge 1718
All PIP challenges are ANYTHING GOES!
So just get your cards ready and...
Head over and join in the fun NOW!

Consider "following" my Blog before you leave!

Here's my card for the challenge!
Our sponsor, MHK Designs has some awesome digis
and I thought this one would make an awesome Father's
Day card for my hubby...inside is the Father's Day sentiment.
This car just seemed to need the faux burnt edges
technique. Makes the whole card appear very old. My
first step was to print the car digi and tear it out to the
size I desired. Next I chose my inks...light tan to dark brown
and black. I grabbed my daubers and began sponging the
edges, beginning with the lightest shade to the darkest
shade, using black to finish the very edge.

I set my image aside and got my sentiment ready to add to
my card. I chose a great pattern paper to accent nicely with the
finished car. I added two brads that look like screws, seemed
appropriate for this card. lol  I put together my layers and
added my raised sentiment, that I had sponged some of the
inks to the edges as well.

That was the final touch to complete my card.

Thanks for stopping by!!

A big THANK YOU to our sponsor for this challenge:

  8. This card is fantastic!! Your bkg paper looks like it was hand done!! I would have thought so if I didn't have the paperpack. Nevertheless, your MHKDesigns vintage car digi is perfectly distressed and masculine!! I love it!! Thanks for joining in the MHKDesigns May challenge!
