PIP Challenge 2017

PIP Challenge  2017

There is no official sponsor for this week's
challenge but PIP will be offering the winner a
$5 Gift Certificate from
Mo's Digital Pencil
Here's my card for this week!
I may be jumping the gun on my grandson's
birthday, in July, but with everything being
shutdown and keeping a stay-at-home order,
it may just be July before I see this little man,
in person, again. I haven't been able to cuddle
him since Christmas. ARGGGH!! I miss that
little man...and here's why...

Yep, he's my favorite grandbaby!! He is
my only one though.
ANYWAY...
I colored the image with Copics and glossed
the balloon, and felt the card didn't need
anymore than that. It's tough to add to
such adorable images!
Stay healthy and safe and enjoy
virtual hugs!!

Challenge Time

Well...one good thing about having to stay
home is the fact that I can make cards to
mail out and join in challenges! This card
went to a friend of mine in NY. I met her when
she was just a very little girl. Her father and
I played cards and visited. I became friends
with the whole family and this little girl,
now in her 20s, with two children of her own,
are still friends. They were all from Russia.
Her birthday is today and she is now 27 yrs.
old. WOW! I entered this card these challenges:

I used a stamp set from MFT. I'm a Polar
Bear lover and these little bears make the
best! I colored the bears with Copics and
used daubers to add Memento inks to the
little panels. MFT had matching die cuts,
that usually cut out perfectly...but...I didn't
take my time, so they are a bit off.
I raised the bears up with pop dots, created
a couple of layers and finished!!

Thanks for stopping by and please
consider joining my blog and the challenges

First of all,
I want to thank Di's Digis for their sponsorships!!
They have soooo many wonderful digis!
Please do stop by and let them know you heard
about them from PIP Challenges!!

With all the COVID-19 issues and risk, I've
had my former partners, at County Rescue
Services when I ran as a paramedic, just
6 years ago, in my prayers. I am VERY thankful
that I don't have to be working now but
my prayers go out to all my friends
there (Terri, a member of PIP's DT), and
the 911 operators, (my daughter, Heather)
in the Green Bay area. I sent this card to
CRS. I am grateful for all they do!!!
This cute little image was a freebie from
Whimsy Stamps. Copics, fussy cutting and
embossing folder for background and that
about covers it. That chubby little penguin
looks a lot like me in my uniform! hehe

I'm entering this card in the following challenges:

Here's my card!
Another beach type image and a great one
from Bugaboo! I can always find fun images
at Bugaboo! I colored my image with Copics
and used an oval die cut. I added some clear
lacquer to the sunglasses. I stamped the
background flowers and colored them. Taking
a black SN Sparkle pen I filled in the entire
background. The sparkle is wonderful!
I used a sentiment from the same Paper Smooches
stamp set I got the flowers from. I raised the
sentiment with mounting tape and finished!

Where does the time go?? It just flies by!
Well, at least it use to...before COVID-19.
I pray that you are all hunkered in somewhere
germ-free. Is there such a place? hmmm I've
remained inside and away from everyone
for more than 2 weeks now and every day
seems exactly the same. lol. But crafting
does continue! YAY...so onward!

Here's my card!
Beccy's Place is a brand new sponsor
at PIP Challenges and you will love her
delightful stamps and digis, as well as
matching die cuts! I love dies!! Be sure
to check her "store" out! You won't be
disappointed! This pelican is from the
stamp set, By the Seaside. I used Copics
to color my sea bird and cut it out. I
stamped some palms, in black, for my
scene. Add bit of blue for my water.
Once I attached my pelican using pop
dots I added a sentiment
and attached all the layers to finish.

I love simple. Obviously! This is just a white
card with a piece of pattern paper. I stamped
and colored my flowers with Copic markers.
I die cut the image and raised it with mounting
tape before attaching it to my card. Add
a sentiment and that's it! Simply done!

Better Late than Never PIP Challenge 2012

Pammie's Inky Pinkies
Challenge 2012
After driving back from Florida I had no
energy left, nor the ability to unpack, in
time to post the challenge, THUS, why
I am late. On that note, I want to thank
our amazing sponsor, Star Stampz!!

Be sure to pop over and check out all the
fabulous digis they have!  In fact, g
check them out now!
Here's my card and inspiration...
I began this card by picking out the perfect
background paper for the darling image.
Once that was decided, I found the right
Copic markers to color my little girl.
I printed out the image twice so I could
fussy cut the sunflower and color it to be
raised with foam dots for dimension. I
felt the sentiment was perfect for this card.
I added a couple of white dots for freckles
and some white highlights in the hair.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Here's my project!
This was a cute image and I was happy with
the overall coloring...and then I added the
glaze for the sunglasses. It looks better in
person but the photo looks really globby.
Is that a word??? LOL. It was colored with my
TriBlend markers and a white pen to highlight
the hair and add dots to the flowers on the hat.

PIP Challenge 2010

This week's sponsor is
The Cutting Cafe
Be sure to pop over and see all the
fabulous digital projects that they
have to help your creativity!

Here's my project!

This card was fun to make and very
simple. TCC is a great place to get
wonderful templates. You don't need die cuts
or anything. This slider card did come with
their own image (heart) and word (love).
I changed it up a bit. I wanted to use this
flower stamp and matching die cut. I cut
out all my pieces on white cardstock and
used them for templates on my pattern
paper. I pieced the card together following
Cutting Cafe video directions. Since I wanted
the stamped image on the front I had to
make some changes. The pull tab, as it was
shown, would have bent my flower so I
cut the flower so it would move freely
as the card opened.
The flowers were colored using TriBlend
markers. I simply colored them without
trying to add shading. I liked the basic
clean look of the flowers. Be sure to checkout
the video at The Cutting Cafe.
